Students may receive awards of up to $6,269 for the 2007-08 academic year. 100 renewable scholarships valued at $10,000 or $20,000 payable over four years. Students must plan to enroll full-time, in a four-year degree program, at a US, accredited, not-for-profit, private or public college or university.
Additional requirements include: must be a high school senior from at least one of the following ethnicities: African American, American Indian/Alaska Native, Asian/Pacific Islander American, and/or Hispanic American, scholarship for more information.
" For Frozan's winning essay, she wrote about how her experience living in Afghanistan, Pakistan, and the U. has forced her to work on her communication, critical thinking, and leadership skills.
She says the trip to China would improve these skills even more and give her an opportunity to think more about what she wants to with her future.
Frozan is interested in the fields of health and education.
